Abstract (EN)

Social patterns and structures are changing and transforming continuously as long as they exist. As it happens in every society, changes in social structures that lead to differentiation in certain historical process in Turkey has been experienced as well. In order to understand the change in today's Turkish society, important developments and social mobilization in the 1945-1960 period, which has an important place in social history, should be examined carefully. Because many improvements which form the subject of social sciences in Turkey has been experienced during this period. The main objective of this study is to examine the changes undergone by the society in Turkey, agrarian relations, property relations, relations of distribution through sociological and political relations between the years 1945-1960, and to make changes in relations visible through the Orhan Kemal Works. In this respect, important developments from the late Ottoman Empire to the last years of the Democratic Party power have been examined. Six works of Bereketli Topraklar Üzerinde, Eskici ve Oğulları, Kanlı Topraklar, Vukuat Var, Hanımın Çiftliği and Gurbet Kuşları belonging to Orhan Kemal, who witnessed the period of 1945-1960 and experienced the process with a realistic understanding, have been analyzed by content analysis method of qualitative research techniques.
