Analyzing the effect of psycoeducation about using social media and the internet

The purpose of this recearch is investigating healthy use of social media and the internet and raise awareness to participants by the advantage of clinical assesments and researchs. The aim is especially decreasing the negative effect of social media and internet among people, families, and psychological well being. The population of research is constituted by adults who is reached by the help of Ibn Haldun University Psychotherapy Center and who live in İstanbul. Research sample is formed by 32 adults who participated the psychoeducation after that registered. In our research, we used the 'Bapint Scale' for measuring Internet addicton, 'Digital Gaming Addicton Scale' for measuring digital gaming addiction and 'Social Media Addicton Scale' for measuring abnormality about using social media. The results of our research demonstrate that there is a significant difference between pre-test which is applied before the psychoeducaiton and post-test which is applied after the psychoeducation
