Views on violence against women on the axis of social learning theory: The example of white collar

Violence against women, which is the main problem of this research, is a common problem of all societies and is one of the most discussed research areas. The phenomenon of violence against women in the literature directly points to male guilt. The aim of this study is to make a social analysis of violence against women by examining the mentioned male violence and male delinquency in the light of gender stereotypes and social learning theory. The theoretical framework of the study is within the scope of social learning theory, gender judgments, feminist theory and sociology of masculinity. In this context, a literature review was conducted, and then a total of 25 people aged 20-30, belonging to white-collar occupational groups residing in Beylikdüzü, were reached, predetermined open-ended field questions were asked, and an in-depth interview was conducted by applying a semi-structured interview form. The causal dynamics of violence against women and the processes that lead men to violence were analyzed by taking the opinions of the participants about violence against women, gender and social learning processes.
