Abstract (EN)

Social policies are the state-provided practices to ensure that individuals have equal access to health, education, security, housing and employment opportunities. The primary purpose of social policies is to provide social justice between individuals. University students' housing issues should also be examined within social policy. The Higher Education Credit and Hostels Institution serves as a manifestation of the understanding of the welfare state for many years in our country to higher education students. In this study, topics such as social policy, housing and housing problems in terms of students of higher education, contribution of KYK to students and understanding of welfare state were discussed in detail. A questionnaire was held to the students staying in the KYK residences in Ankara Center and the contributions of the KYK to the students about housing were examined. As a result of the questionnaire survey, the reasons why students choose KYK residences, the satisfaction levels of domestic services the expectations of KYK residents and the demographic structures of students are analyzed. In addition, the perceptions of the students towards the concept of social policy have been examined and social justice and equality concept of KYK dormitories has been evaluated by the answers given to the questions.
