Abstract (EN)
Children who are in disadvantaged groups in the field of social services and also who need protection are matters as well as all over the world. The need for protection has been a subject of different service models that have been tried to be solved throughout history. Despite having tried different institutional models, the most recent service model, the foster family service model, allows the child to grow with love and a family environment and grow with a parent who can trust and be a role model to him. For this reason, the preventive family service model contributes to the psycho-social development of children. When we look at the characteristics of societies with strong social capital, most social problems are not left to the state. For this reason, the effect of social capital on the solving existing social problems can not be neglected. Even though the necessary work is being done to spread the protective family service model nowadays, the number of children in institutional care is higher than the number of children placed in the protective family. In the study, secondary data were analyzed in the protective family area by the literature search and qualitative research method. In this context, 17 articles and 24 published master and doctoral theses were examined. As a result of the study, an evaluation was made about the relationship between the family, the foster family and the institution with the focus on the context of the social capital and relationship within the foster family service model.
