Abstract (EN)
This study was written as a call to reunion with psychology, which has long tended to part ways with philosophy. The reason for writing this thesis is that the traces of Benedictus Spinoza, who lived about four hundred years ago, in psychotherapy methods designed to provide psychological healing to people, have not been seen before. In this context, Spinoza's basic concepts and propositions were first explained in the thesis, then it was investigated which psychotherapy methods these propositions shed light on, and the Spinoza effect on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotional Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Acceptence and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction were discussed. Keywords: Spinoza, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Therapy
