Abstract (EN)
In this study, single layer-double faced (plated) knitted fabric structures with high thermal comfort properties have been developed in order to carry out moisture transfer rapidly, especially in garments used in intensive activities and / or sports. For this purpose, 36 single layer-double faced (plated) knitted fabric structures were produced using 14 different materials with same machine parameters. Air permeability, water vapor permeability, moisture transfer properties, thermal resistance, weight and thickness values of fabrics were measured according to the related standards. Then obtained results were evaluated statistically and comparatively. As a result, it has been observed that all of the fabrics produced are thinner than double layer-double faced fabrics and therefore have higher air and relative water vapor permeability, good thermal resistance level values and additionally they have high moisture transfer capability. When different yarns were used on both sides, it was found that moisture management values of the fabrics improved and unidirectional liquid transfer values significantly increased.
