Abstract (EN)

Today, together with technological developments, the decline in physical activities has come to fruition and nowadays physical activity has not been done and so great public health problem has arisen. In this study, it was determined that the physical activity status of the women who continue to the sports centers was determined with the respiratory parameters (VO2Kg (ml / kg / min): Average oxygen consumption per kilogram, (l / m '): Average Ventilation (Breath) Rate, Rf (l/m'): Average Breath Frequency, HR (bpm): Average Heart Rate Speed, FeO2 (%): Average Oxygen Concentration, Load (watt): Last 15 sec. Loading Amount, EE (kcal/h): Average Energy Consumption in One Hour, VO2Max (%): Maximum Oxygen Consumption) and the examination of these parameters is the main objective of study. The research universe consists of volunteer ladies who continue to sports centers in Adiyaman. The sample group is composed of 207 women registered to sports centers in the 2014-2015 season. International Physical Activity Scale was used as data collection tool and Spiro LabIII Respiratory meter was used for anthropometric measurements in study. In addition, a form developed by a specialist who filled out the personal information of the ladies were used. In the research; From the descriptive statistics, frequency (f) and percentage (%) and Independent group t-test was used if the distribution was normal in two independent variables and Mann Whitney-U test was used if the distribution was not in normal proportions to determine whether there was any difference in dependent variables according to independent variables. Likewise, one-way ANOVA was used for parametric and Kruskal Wallis-H test for non-parametric to determine whether dependent variables were different from independent variable according to more than one option. As a result of the research, it was found that 47 people (22.7%) of the women who participated in the study had passive physical activity level, 86 people (41.5) had low active physical activity level and 74 people (35.7) had active physical activity level.
