The research was carried out in the 2022-2023 academic year.400 students randomly selected from the 5.6.7.8th grade levels among 1205 students studying at a secondary school in the province of Şırnak, Silopi, participated voluntarily..As a data collection tool, the "Personal Information Form" and prepared by us Ji, the "Social-Emotional and Moral Development Scale" developed by Dubois and Flay, adapted to Turkish by Bozgun and Baytemir, was used. The data obtained in the research were analyzed using the SPSS 22 package program. According to the results of the analysis, there was no significant difference between the social-emotional and moral development levels of the students according to the variables of age, grade level and income status, while a significant difference was found in favor of female students according to the gender variable. It was found that students who play sports as licensed students have a higher average score in the sub-dimensions of self-control, self-development and positive social behavior of social-emotional and moral development levels compared to students who do not play sports, and a significant and positive relationship was found in favor of those who do sports by seeing that they have a higher average score in the total of the scale. In addition, it has been observed that the levels of social-emotional and moral development of students who play sports as a licensed student increase as the years of playing sports increase. As a result, it has been found that the state of doing sports and the year of doing sports positively affect the levels of social, emotional and moral development.
