The interpretation of the local boarding school acording to the choice of ability and drection at sports and the proposal of a model

ABSTRACT Reaching the stage of high performance and success in sport-being the most important concepts of today-necessitate the search for competent. Sportsmen and their training while they are young. In this study, the questions: how, where, and by whom the search for competent sportsmen should be carried out: and where and by whom they should be trained and educated, are tried to be answered through an extensive literature survey. 1'his research raised tue fact that Hoarding schools and Educational Institutions hause a big potential with experienced personnel and infrastructure to select and quide talented youths and help them achive their sportic ambitions. Although these institutions contain a great deal of patential they still suffer from the lack of expert personnel, materials, class schedules and a clear target these institutions could materialize their potential and support Turkish Sport, provided that they combine existing resources and improve themselves in expertize, infrastructure, materials and building facilities. Therefore this study is an attempt to build a model helping the efforts to find, select and quide new talents for a long-term professional carreer in sport. The main tentacles of this model are the resources of sport federations, clubs, institutions. Boarding schools and the Ministry of National Education.
