Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determine the effects of sports on stress management and anger control of employees. The relational screening model was used in the study. 383 people participated in the study. Personal Information Form, Stress Coping Scale and Trait Anger Scale were used in the study. The study data were collected electronically. According to the normality test, Independent t test and One Way ANOVA test were applied since the data showed normal distribution. Correlation was used to determine the relationship between variables, and regression analysis was applied to determine the causal relationship. No significant difference was found between stress coping and sub-dimensions according to gender, age groups and education levels. A significant difference was found between age groups and stress coping level sub-dimensions and total score. A significant difference was found between sports activities and positive, support, problem solving sub-dimensions and total score. A significant difference was found between sports activities and trait anger sub-dimension and total trait anger scores. A negative significant relationship was found between trait anger and stress coping levels. It was found that the participants' sports activities significantly positively affected the total and sub-dimensions of coping with stress, but that their sports activities did not significantly affect the total and sub-dimensions of trait anger. As a result, the stress coping and anger levels of the participants who did sports were more developed than those who did not. Physical exercises and sports activities increase positive emotions such as vitality, fun and energy, as well as reducing anxiety, tension, fatigue and anger. In addition, it can be widely used as an accessible and applicable method for improving mental health and coping with stress. Key Words: Sports, Stress, Anger.
