Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to determine the effect of strategic planning on organizational performance. While discussing the subject, current knowledge on strategic planning was used. Strategic planning has received ongoing attention in the management-related literature, with conceptual and empirical investigations available for public and private organizations. In this study, data collected by survey technique from Iraq-Mosul Provincial Population Agency employees were analyzed with relevant statistical programs. The results obtained partially overlap with the expected results in the relevant literature. Quantitative method was adopted in the research. Strategic planning scale and organizational performance scale were used. These scales were adapted from English. The validity of the scales was tested with confirmatory factor analysis and the reliability was tested with Cronbach Alpha. Since the research is a relational analysis, regression analysis was performed. The analysis of the data was carried out through the SPSS program. As a result of the analyses, the effects of strategic planning on organizational performance were confirmed by the findings and, accordingly, it was determined that strategic planning positively affected organizational performance.
