Abstract (EN)
There are intrauterine antibiotics with the same active ingredient produced by different companies in Turkey. As with all drugs, the excipients used in the production stages of intrauterine tablets and the physical state of the active ingredients directly affect the pharmaceutical quality of the drugs. This situation, which directly affects the time, potency and duration of action in drugs, has led to the development of various forms of drugs in the market according to pharmaceutical quality guidelines. In this study, veterinary intrauterine tablets containing sulfonamides and trimethoprim produced in Turkiye were analyzed in terms of pharmaceutical quality analysis, physical control and quantification by chromatographic analysis. According to the results of the analysis, it was shown that the tablets were in compliance with the specifications. The specification and real analysis values such as appearance, moisture content, substance amounts, weight, hardness, brittleness of different intrauterine tablets containing the same active ingredient were evaluated according to pharmacopoeial standards.
