Abstract (EN)
Before Sultan Meliksah ascended the throne, his father Alparslan had declared him heir apperent. After Alparslan's death as a result of assassination in 1072, Meliksah became the ruler of the Great Seljuk Empire. In the first years of his reign, he had to deal with the rebellions of his uncle Kirman Meliki Kavurd Bey and his brother Tekiş Bey. However, thanks to the astute Vizier Nizamülmülk, he managed to eliminate these dangers. Another big problem in the Seljuk lands is the issue of the Batinids. Hasan Sabbah posed a great danger to the Seljuk society with the Batini state he established in the Alamut castle. Both military and scientific struggles were made against the Bâtini danger. However, these struggles could not be successful due to the murder of Nizamülmülk by a Bâtini and the sudden and suspicious death of Sultan Meliksah in 1092. During the reign of Sultan Meliksah, the Great Seljuk Empire lived its most powerful years. However, in recent years, the tension between these two names has increased. The reason for this tension was the fact that the names at the state level conveyed their discomfort from Nizamülmülk to Meliksah and the events that Meliksah personally witnessed. The most heyday twenty years of the Great Seljuk Empire came to an end with the death of Meliksah about a month after the death of Nizamülmülk. Key Words: Seljuks, Meliksah, Nizamülmülk, Hasan Sabbah
