Abstract (EN)

Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia (AVNRT) is the most common type of Paroxismal Supraventricular Tachycardias (PSVT). Atrioventricular Reentrant Tachycardia (AVRT) is the second most common type. Although there are data in the literature that AVNRT patients have larger coronary sinus ostia, no significant difference was found in the only study performed with computed tomography. In our study conducted at Manisa Celal Bayar University Cardiology Clinic, 29 AVNRT and 11 AVRT patients with cardiac computed tomography plan were included. Anteroposterior and superoinferior diameters of the coronary sinus ostium were measured by computed tomography. A larger coronary sinus ostium was found in the AVNRT group (12.1, 14.6) than in the AVRT group (10.7, 13.7) (p=0.041, 0.029). This study demonstrated by cardiac computed tomography that AVNRT patients have larger coronary ostium compared to AVRT patients.
