Abstract (EN)

In this study, the main goal is firstly, in dairy cattle holdings, according to the predicted criteria (road, slope, aspect, winter wind and summer wind directions in the farm yard) housing, shelter, milking facility, feed store, hangar and fertilizer storage structures to be located in the courtyard. A computer program based on MS Office Excel has been developed in order to position it optimally in terms of smell, hygiene and work efficiency. Then, the courtyard plans produced by the program developded for the selected dairy cattle farms in the research area were compared with the existng courtyard plans of the enterprises.Land data and courtyard plans of 3 different dairy cattle holdings with 500, 1500 and 4500 head capacity in Küçük Menderes Basin were identified. The courtyard layout plans produced by the program developed according to the land data of the sample enterprises and the existing plans of these enterprises were compared and evaluated according to the basic technical principles. The developed program will make significant contributions to the regulation of the necessary infrastructure for sustainable livestock breeding where dairy cattle enterprises can control the harm to the environment and make a more economical management. The proposed evaluation criteria should be diversified in order for this program to offer more comprehensive solutions. The studies that will be carried out together by the relevant intuitions and organizations and universities will make significant contributions in this regard.
