Abstract (EN)

Due to their destructive effects, in the last fifty years, soil liquefaction occurring during and after earthquakes and liquefaction-induced lateral spreading are one of the important issues in the field of geotechnical earthquake engineering. In this study, by using existing earthquake case samples, the data related to lateral spread due to liquefaction were compiled and the parameters to be used were determined. Using these parameters, artificial neural network models were created with MATLAB software. By creating a database obtained by drilling data in the metropolitan area of İzmir, liquefaction analyses were conducted. The parameters obtained as a result of the liquefaction analysis were used in the artificial neural network model and the lateral spreadings that might occur after a 6.5 magnitude earthquake was predicted for the northern region of İzmir. The result of the analysis were mapped.
