The effects of teamwork on organizational commitment: case study of Ordu Province's Ülkü Ocakları Education And Culture Foundation

In this study, the effects of teamwork on organizational commitment were tried to be determined. The field research of the study was implemented in the Ordu's Ülkü Ocakları Education and Culture Foundation Representatives. The first part of the study consist of the concept of team and teamwork, the purpose and importance of teamwork, team characteristics, team types, team building process, features of effective teamwork, barriers to effective teamwork and the theoretical framework of the benefits and drawbacks of teamwork. In the second chapter, the topics are explained such as the concept and definition of organizational commitment, comparison of the concept of organizational commitment with similar concepts, classification of organizational commitment, organizational commitment levels, indicators of organizational commitment, factors affecting organizational commitment, organizational commitment and business behaviours, organizational commitment types. In the third chapter, the relationship between teamwork and organizational commitment has been set and previous studies in this area have been examined in the form of literature review. In the fourth chapter, in order to examine the effects of teamwork on organizational commitment, a research was conducted in the Ordu's Ülkü Ocakları Education and Culture Foundation Representatives. Conclusions and suggestions related to this study are included. In the Ordu's Ülkü Ocakları Education and Culture Foundation Representatives, they were interviewed 276 people in this study and 213 questionnaires were applied. After the implementation, 12 questionnaires were not considered valid and 201 questionnaires were included in the study. The data obtained from the study were analyzed with SPSS and Amos statistics package program. Key Words: Organizational Commitment, Teamwork, Ülkü Ocakları, Education, Culture
