Abstract (EN)
Many parameters are uncertain in the existing constructions, especially when constructions built in the masonary wall construction style are under the external loads , earthquake, heat, wind etc loads. Besides, it is not an easy method to determine the bearing capacity, pressure and tensile strength of a masonry wall. Therefore, it is very important that the behavior of earthquake behavior, eigenvalues, periods and mode shapes of the structure are initially known, in the modeling of the structure and in obtaining the correct results in the evaluation of the analysis results. Since each historic structure has its own unique wall and carrier characteristics, it is not possible to assume a value at the beginning for the carrying capacity and other parameters. For this, doing wall experiments is costly and time consuming. The easiest method for determining these parameters of the build is the experimental work carried out through the accelerometers. This method, called Operational Modal Analysis (OMA), is used to determine free and forced vibrations of structures by experimental means and to determine mode shapes of structures. OMA is very important in terms of correct use of the analysis method and parameters used in the analysis. In this study, it is aimed to find the building periods of the historical Otağ-ı Humayun building located at Davutpaşa Campus, Yıldız Technical University, and to compare the building modes obtained by preparing the three-dimensional numerical model of the building with computer program. Measurements made on the building with Accelerometers have been obtained experimentally with the resultant values obtained by computer programs called Artemis. Then, the numerical model of the three dimensional structure was solved by the Etabs program using the material suitable for the structural components and the cross-sectional properties suitable for these material types, and numerical modes were obtained. The experimental and numerical modes obtained are compared, the results are evaluated, and the issues that need to be considered in the numerical model for correct determination of these modes are presented as reportsect determination of these modes are presented as reports.
