Abstract (EN)

With the understanding of the importance of occupational health and safety in business life, various studies have been conducted within the scope of protecting employee health in the sectors. In addition to the limited reflection of the knowledge and practices valid in theory on the business life, the insufficient level of knowledge of the employees about their work matters is also important in the context of occupational safety. The inadequacy of knowledge about current risks and precautions for the agricultural sector due to the heavy working conditions of women and the invisibility of women's labor emerges as an important problem. In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of knowledge level of women employees on perception levels. Thus, it will be ensured that the content of training activities for women employees is determined and the training is adapted to business life. As a result of the work carried out for female employees in the agricultural sector in İzmir province and its districts; regarding the information dimension of the participants; prevention and awareness is knowledge levels quite low and their personal protective equipment knowledge levels are high; when the perception dimension is examined, it is seen that the perceptions of danger and law are quite high. Considering the effect of knowledge level on perception; It is concluded that the level of precaution knowledge negatively affects perception of danger and law, and the level of personal protective equipment knowledge positively affects perception of danger.
