Abstract (EN)

Digital agriculture revolution is seen as a great potential in solving the problems in the direction of meeting the food needs of the increasing world population, increasing urbanization rate, natural disasters due to climate change, putting natural resources at risk, increasing food loss and waste in developed countries and changing consumer habits, as well as the effects of the recently added Covid-19 outbreak. With this research, evolution of agriculture from zero point to today's digital transformation, approach to the concept of digital agriculture, current situation in the transformation, technologies used, targets in the transformation, technology market, barriers and opportunities in digitalization, problems and solutions for rural areas, data ownership in agriculture, current practices and policies at national and international level were examined in a multifaceted way thus digital transformation was evaluated with a general framework. As a result of this research, it was revealed that there is still a limited understanding of the impacts of digital technologies, their consequences and how exactly they will affect the relevant stakeholders (primarily farmers), as digital agriculture is still in a stage of maturing compared to its rapid development and therefore not enough data is yet available on its impacts on agriculture.
