Abstract (EN)

Anaerobic digestion means degradation of organic compounds, which contain high level of organic carbon, by several types of microorganisms under unoxic conditions. Recently, biogas and biogas compost which are produced as result of anaeroibc digestion are on the target of biogas investor bacause of developing technologies and increasing energy requirements. After digestion they can get two important ouptuts, biogas and biogas compost. Biogas is gas mixture with high calorific value, contains mainly methane and carbondioxide. On the other hand, biogas compost is a precious source for plant growth thanks to low pathogen level and high nutrient content. A biogas calculation tool was designed to show energy potential of agricultural waste in Turkey in designing of biogas system. The biogas calculation tool calculates gas production potential, installed plant capacity, yearly cash flow and show a system flow chart for biogas system which is planned to design.
