Abstract (EN)
The most comprehensive liberalization in foreign trade in agriculture is development in 1994. In the study, the effects of liberalization on selected agricultural products were examined. In this context, foreign trade data of fig, wheat, olive, grape, apricot and hazelnut products, which have the highest production and foreign trade in Turkey, as well as production data have been examined and the effects of liberalization on both foreign trade and production of selected products have been investigated. In the study, trend analysis and difference analysis methods were applied to the data obtained and collected by TÜİK between 1989 and 2015. When production and foreign trade data were obtained, 1994 was taken as the base year in which liberalization was experienced, and this figure was given 100 values. The changes before and after 1994 were also calculated according to 1994. According to the results of the analysis, the negative effects of hazelnut, olive and wheat on the agricultural production items analyzed in the liberalization of agricultural foreign trade are seen, whereas positive effects are seen on the fig grape and apricot.
