Abstract (EN)

In this study, eight species of plants extract, which grown as naturally in our country and used for treatment of various disease, were investigated. The extract of Rhus coriaria L., Pistacia terebinthus L. sub. sp. palestina, Centaurea virgata Lav., Euphorbia macroclada Boiss., Ceterach officinarum DC., Echinophora tenuifolia L. sibthorpianal (Guss) Tutin, Equisetum romasissimum Desf., Umbilicus erectus DC were prepared with chloroform, and antimicrobial activities of these extracts were examined on test microorganisms as follows: Staphylococcus aureus COWAN 1, Bacillus megaterium DSM 32, Klebsiella pneumoniae FMC 66032, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 as bacteria species, Candida albicans FMC 17, Candida globrata ATCC 66032, Candida tropicalis ATCC 13803, Trichophyton sp., and Epidermophyton sp. by Disc Diffusion Methods. The MIC value of extract was determined as the method of micro dulitions. In the end of studies, we have found that the extracts of Rhus coriaria L., Pistacia terebinthus L. sub. sp. palestina, and Centaurea virgata Lav. prepared with chloroform, revealed antimicrobial activities against some bacteria, yeasts and dermatofit, but the extracts of Euphorbia macroclada Boiss., Ceterach officinarum DC., Echinophora tenuifolia L. sibthorpianal (Guss) Tutin, Equisetum romasisimum Desf., Umbilicus erectus DC prepared with chloroform, revealed antimicrobial activities against bacteria, yeasts and dermatofit, but also it had no antagonistic effect against some bacteria, yeasts and dermatofit used in this study. Also, MIC value of real extract was determined as 20-0.625 mg/ml. Key Words: Antimicrobial activity, Pathogen microorganizms, Medicinal plants.
