Abstract (EN)

The fierce global competition in the 21st century is focused on supply chains rather than on individual companies. From a macro perspective, a supply chain is a network of enterprises which are engaged in different functions ranging from the supply of the raw materials through the production and delivery of the end-product to the target customers. Although the term supply chain originated from production enterprises, it is a natural result that the services industry is a part of the chain.Tourism products are often viewed by consumers as value-added chains of different service components that form service networks. Therefore, identifying ways to manage these networks is vital, especially for tourism firms that are keen to maintain a competitive advantage over their rivals. In this study, an investigation on large scale accomodation enterprises have been conducted that aims to find out the impact of supply chain practices on business performance.
