Abstract (EN)

Along with the developing technology, consumption of electric energy has also increased. Most of the energy produced is consumed by electric motors used in the industry. Sometimes there is a single engine and sometimes a lot of engines work in the installed systems. Drive systems are needed because the motors can run at different speeds, at different locations and at different loads. The performance, economical efficiency and efficiency of the motorized drive systems are important. Multi-engine systems often require a separate driver to drive each motor in the required applications. However, in some applications it is also possible to have more than one motor driven from a single drive. These systems are called multi-motor drive systems and are used where high power applications are required. In this thesis study, a motorized drive system is considered. As a matrix converter and motor that makes AA-AA conversion directly for the drive system, because of its ease of control, the industry has recently been chosen as the most preferred PMSM. In the study, parallel-connected SMSMs fed from the matrix converter were performed. In the thesis, PMSM was controlled by vector control method and both classical controllers and intelligent control systems were used in the control system. With the simulation model in Matlab / Simulink, it was first observed that the matrix converter and SMSM were operated under various operating conditions. Then identical motors were connected in parallel and driven by a single matrix converter, using the average current and speed information for the control of the motors. When the simulation results are examined according to the load states of the motors, it has been found that the parameters should be adjusted again according to the changing working conditions in the control performed with the classical controllers and the motor control system is easier to adapt to the load change in the intelligent control system. With a multi-motor drive system consisting of matrix converter and parallel connected PMSM, a system with high performance, volume and cost can be obtained.
