Investigation of urban life quality in the example of Çorlu district of Tekirdağ province

Changes and developments have been occurred in many subject with over time in most of the European and other countries of the world, especially in developed and developing countries. There are negative changes in land use / cover, transportation, local climate, construction, open-green space use together with especially with industrialization and rapid population growth rate.In this process, along with issues such as "quality of life", "livability", "urban life", approaches to increase the quality of spatial life have become an important necessity for the world countries. As a matter of fact, in the 2019-2023 plan targets; In the Eleventh Development Plan Urban Life Quality Specialization Commission;"Measuring and evaluating urban life quality make international comparisons very exemplary, flexible, original and specific", To carry out the 2020-2023 National Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan; "Aging and Sustainable Questions Adding Value to Life", 2010-2023 Integrated Urban Development Strategy and Action Plan targets that may arise. For this purpose, the basis of the thesis study is; "Urban life quality is a necessary issue in line with the development plans and strategies of the country and the" technical "," ecological "," social "," visual "," functional "parameters related to open spaces in urban areas an urban quality of life approach should be considered ". In this context, in line with the targets set by the country's development plans and strategies; In the example of Tekirdağ Province, Çorlu town, it was aimed to determine the strategies and targets for the quality of urban life on the basis of technical, ecological, social, visual and functional parameters. Within the framework of the developed method; sampling subjects were researched, examples and criteria were created for the category of life category, strategies and goals for evaluations and life improvement were determined. Developed indicators and criteria has been supported together with analysis of determination of urban life quality (accessibility, transportation, urban reinforcement areas, population density, population distribution, focal points, green area situation analysis, occupancy gap analysis), survey studies, noise measurement analysis and creation of identity cards for sample areas.Thus; The results obtained from the study will guide the studies on the spatial applicability of quality of life measures in the scale of open green spaces and similar issues.
