Abstract (EN)

Rapid growing of population, urbanization and industrialization bring many economic, social, political and environmental problems this overall progress proceed against envitonmental issues. Increas of environmental wastes cause more labour than the digestion capasity of the World. Air, water and soil that are the main components of the entire life cycle are exposed by different pollutant every day. Industrial wastes discharged to the water are most dangerous than domestic wastes. Effluent from the industry commonly contains a wide range of organic and inorganic chemicals. Dye manufacturing industry is servicing to textile industry that has a big importance as a national income. There are many different colourant structures in Dye manufacturing area, however, textile industry use many colourants also many auxularies. About 10.000 different pigmnets and colourants are used as inpouts in textile industry. Azo dyes represents about 70% on the weight basis of the total annual world production and constitute the largest and the most important class of commercial dyes used in textile industry. Azo dyes have a serious environmental impact, because their precursors and degradation products (such as aromatic amines) are highly carcinogenic. Numerous biodegradability studies on dyes have shown that azo dyes are not prone to biodegradation under aerobic conditions. This study discover the decolorisation and COD (carbon oxygen demand) degree of the effluent from the dye and auxulary manufacturing facility, by adsorption, Fenton and Ozon methods. According to the results obtained from the each meth in the adsorption process, by increasing the active carbon at pH5, maximum COD removal yeald is 66% and colour removal yield is 99-100%. In the Fenton process, by using 5000mg/l hydrogen peroxyde and 5000mg/l Fe(II)SO4, maximum COD removal yeald is 60% and colour removal yield is 99%. In the ozon oxidation process, by ozanation during 240 min, maximum COD removal yeald is 19-28% and colour removal yield is 55-62%.
