Abstract (EN)
The general aim of the research is to evaluate the student competencies in the field of filigree art in terms of principles and elements of the basic design and innovative designs. Qualitative research model was used in the study. The population of the study is Mardin, and the sample consists of 33 students studying at Artuklu University Vocational High School located in Midyat, Mardin province. The research has two stages and has spread over 8 weeks. In the first four weeks of the study, theorical lectures were studied. In the course of the course, students will learn basic design principles and elements, and evaluate how the drawings will be evaluated within the framework of these subjects. The second phase of the study was applied in a four-week period. These applications consist of; One week of interview, one week of observation, one week of practice and one week of evaluation. In the study, interview form, observation form and personal information form prepared according to qualitative research model were used. When the data of the study were evaluated; They emphasized that the students participating in the research have improved the creativity of filigree education and have an impact on their creativity. In addition, individuals stated that filigree education is a process of shaping silver, that it is made of three-dimensional works, it is pleasure, it is fun, it develops hand skills, it makes them happy, they teach them to be patient and they bring them to personal satisfaction. The students stated that filigree art practices had a good time and improved their self-efficacy for filing. In addition, it was stated by the students that they knew the stages of filming studies, developed their hand skills, gave peace and happiness, developed a positive attitude towards the course, taught how to do three-dimensional works and developed their creativity. As a result; It has been determined that the positive or negative attitude of the family on the education of individuals is effective and this attitude affects the view of the individual. Therefore, it has been determined that these attitudes affect student competences in the field of filigree art positively or negatively in terms of developing innovative motifs. There was no significant difference between the age of the individual and the economic level of the family. The demographic characteristics of individuals did not affect the design process. When we look at the research, it is seen that it has an effect on the individuals in the social expectations. When the answers of the students who participated in the research were evaluated, it is possible to conclude that they were happy with filigree works, they felt good about them and they taught them to be patient and received aesthetic pleasure. Most of the students stated that physical conditions need to be improved. In addition, the students stated that they were exposed to various occupational accidents in their workshop lessons, their clothes were dirty and the course hours should be increased. Most of the students wanted to increase their design courses. Thus, they suggested that they will make more professional designs. The following suggestions were developed as a result of the answers of the students who participated in the studies; Increasing course hours with innovative design topics, Proposal for this course at undergraduate level, It is recommended to organize workshops with appropriate physical conditions. More modern workshops, suggestions for the reproduction of promotions in different cities are other suggestions developed by students.
