Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to examine the effects of callisthenic exercises on some performance parameters in tennis players. A total of 32 tennis players, 16 men and 16 women between the ages of 14-18, participated in the study. Participants were divided into two groups: 16 control and 16 experimental. While the control group continued their routine tennis training, the experimental group performed calisthenic exercises in addition to tennis training. The semi-experimental method, one of the quantitative research models, was used in the research. Clustering analysis was performed on the groups and they were equally divided into 2 groups. Height, weight, BMI, agility, strength, speed, endurance, dynamic balance and AOS test measurements were taken from the participants. SPSS 17 package program was used to analyze the data. Normality homogeneity test was applied to the groups and in the intra-group evaluations; Paired Sample t test was used in paired groups, and Independent Sample t test was used for intergroup evaluations. Data were evaluated at the p<0.05 significance level. As a result of the analyses, it was seen that the difference in weight, BMI, 30 meter speed, hand grip strength, agility, serve and ground stroke depth parameters was significant in the control group pre-test post-test comparisons (p < 0.05). In the intra-group pre-test post-test comparisons of the callisthenic group, it was seen that the difference in BMI, endurance, ground stroke depth, serve, balance AP left and balance ml right parameters was significant (p <0.05). In the pre-test comparison between the groups, the difference in weight, 30 meter speed, agility, service and hand grip strength parameters was found to be significant (p <0.05). When looking at the post-test comparisons between groups; The difference was found to be significant in weight, 30 meter speed, endurance, hit sensitivity and hand grip parameters (p<0.05). As a result, it was seen that calisthenic exercises improved some performance parameters in tennis players.
