Abstract (EN)
Purpose: Mobbing is not solely a phenomenon where superiors inflict psychological violence on subordinates; it can also be exerted by subordinates onto superiors. In professional life, mobbing behaviors can occur across all positions, regardless of hierarchy. The aim of this study is to reveal the extent to which principals and administrators in public schools and institutions under the Ministry of National Education experience reverse mobbing and to examine the implications of this situation on management. Method: The study is designed using the descriptive survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The descriptive survey model is a descriptive study conducted on a sample selected from the population to form an opinion about the population as a whole. In this model, the researcher observes and reports the entire process as it is, without making any intervention in the study. Findings: The study found significant differences between the levels of exposure to reverse mobbing among principals working in schools and institutions under the Ministry of National Education based on their official title, professional seniority, educational level, the level of the school or institution they work in, the number of teachers in their institution, and the number of vice principals. Additionally, 49% of the principals who participated in the study stated that they had never heard of the concept of reverse mobbing, while 38% reported having experienced reverse mobbing. Conclusion and Recommendations: It was found that 65% of the principals who participated in the study had been exposed to reverse mobbing to some extent, revealing it as a hidden yet widespread workplace issue within schools and institutions. Given the serious consequences that reverse mobbing can have for individuals in leadership positions and organizations, there is a need for further study on this topic.
