Abstract (EN)
Diplomacy emerged when people started living collectively and has preserved its importance to this day. In ancient times, while transitioning from individuality to social life, man first learned to live collectively and then realized that there were different communities from his own society. Seeing the necessity of communicating with different communities, they started primitive diplomacy. Diplomacy has become an important concept for states over time. Diplomacy has always been important in the State of Timur, named after its founder Emir Timur, and as a result of this importance, the embassy establishment has been established on solid foundations. Foreign ambassadors who came to the Timurid country were welcomed within certain rules. The Timurid sultans also expected the respect they showed to the foreign states' ambassadors to be shown to their own ambassadors. They did not remain silent about the bad behavior towards their ambassadors. The Timurid sultans attached importance to intelligence as much as they gave to the embassy institution in interstate relations, and did not hesitate to use their envoys as spies when necessary. The Timurid sultans, who gave importance to embassy and intelligence, were successful in domestic and foreign politics in the state. In the time of the sultans, who did not give the necessary importance to the embassy and intelligence, various problems arose in the Timurid State.
