Abstract (EN)
In this study, new vic-dioxime (L1H2, L2H2) ligand bearing thiosemicarbazoneside groups and their metal complexes [Ni(II) and Co(II)] which have not beendescribed in the literature previously were synthesized. The vic-dioxime ligands ofbearing thiosemicarbazone groups were synthesized by reacting anti-chloroglyoximewith salicilaldehye (2-hydroxybenzaldehye) thiosemicarbazone and 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehye thiosemicarbazone in ethanol at -15 0C (L1H2, L2H2). The Ni(II)and Co(II) complexes of ligands were prepared in ethanol by using MCl2.xH2O asmetal salts to buffer the medium. Ligands form trinuclear complexes [(LH)2M] with ametal:ligand ratio of 1:2 with M= Ni(II) and Co(II). Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes areproposed to be square planar. Structural assignments are supported by a combinationof 1H-NMR, FT-IR, magnetik susceptibility measurements and elemental analyses .Keywords: vic-Dioxime; thiosemicarbazone; metal complexes
