Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, biomaterial wastes with Ti-29Nb-13Ta-4.6Zr (TNTZ) composition were used as raw materials. Using these wastes, a high entropy alloy with TiZrCrNb0.25Ta0.05 composition was produced. The discovery of multicomponent or High Entropy Alloys is considered an important milestone in the development of alloys. In recent years, extensive research has been carried out on high entropy alloys around the world and these studies are increasing. One of the important application areas for these alloys, which has the potential to be a strong alternative in many sectors such as aviation, space, automotive and machine manufacturing, is the field of biomaterials. In this context, in this thesis, high entropy alloys developed using non-toxic Ti, Nb, Ta, Cr and Zr elements were compared with commercial TNTZ alloys in terms of in-vitro degradation, ion release and bioactivity properties and their potential as alternative biomaterials were discussed.
