Abstract (EN)
Soil resistivity measurement method is currently used in various engineering applications such as determining the thickness and depth of geological structures, determining anomalies (inconsistency) due to geological conditions, obtaining salt water interference and pollution maps, determining buried waste sites and searching for natural resources like groundwater, oil and mine. Soil resistivity measurement method (resistivity), applied first by Frank Wenner and Conrad Schlumberger in the 20th century, still uses the same basic principles today. This method is based on the principle of injecting current with two current electrodes from the surface into the ground using a source and measuring the potential of the equipotential surface created within the ground with two electrodes located on the surface. Different arrays of current and voltage electrodes on the ground are used for different studies. In the literature, there are studies in which different electrode arrays are compared, on the applications of the soil resistivity method, on reducing the workload by digitizing the electrode arrays, on three-dimensional soil mapping, and on system materials. In this thesis, it is aimed to design a microcontroller-based device that measures soil resistance and to create an Android application that can generate a two-dimensional soil resistivity map by processing the data acquired from this device. The designed device has eight electrodes. All methods of Wenner Alpha, Wenner Beta, Wenner Gama, Wenner Schlumberger, Dipole Dipole can be applied without the need to remove and reattach with eight electrodes placed in the area to be mapped. The function of the electrodes connected to the relay contacts can be easily controlled by the microcontroller. Data transfer between the device and the Android platform is provided by Bluetooth wireless communication. The data coming from the device to the Android platform was transformed into two-dimensional soil resistivity maps using the JavaScript visualization library.
