Abstract (EN)

In this study, the distribution modelling of Hermann's tortoise (Testudo hermanni) under climatic conditions was carried out. The parameters are revealed the which one variables are mostly effective in the disturibition of Testudo hermanni. Depending on these model, the estimated and potential habitat is determined. In this context, the existing coordinate dataset about distributions of Testudo hermanni's were taken directly from the scientific studies and the areas cordinates which is nonexistent in publications were taken by helping Georeferencing. In addition to these fields, the coordinates of the distribution areas in Thrace are obtained Tubitak 113Z050 project during fields research. The coordinate data for total distribution areas of Testudo hermanni were analyzed with Maximum Entropy Modeling program (Maxent 3.3) and Geographic Information Systems program (ArcGIS 10.3). According to these results, the most important variables affecting the disturibition are determined as Bio3 (Isothermite (Bio2 / Bio7) (* 100)), Bio5 (Maximum temperature of the warmest month), Bio11 (Mean temperature of the coldest quarter), Bio15 (Seasonal precipitation (Variation Coefficient) and also hotspot maps of potential habitats in Europe and Thrace have been created .
