VI ABSTRACT The main purpose of this study is to explain the effects of transactional leadership approach and transformational leadership approach on job satisfaction, and innovation by bringing up the business enterprise worker's evaluation about these approaches at the banks in Kütahya. For business enterprises the leadership approach has great importance which is applied to workers by their administrators. It is clear that these approaches has affects on job satisfaction and innovation. Transactional leadership approach is the one that we can define as a kind of traditional leadership style trying to maintain stability in the company ahead of adapting changes. Transformational leadership approach is the most important one in the 21st century leadership styles which aims to make innovation, changes and reforms in the company. In our study the evaluations of the workers are the most important thing that we are trying to get. In the study questions which are about transactional and transformational leadership were taken from MLQ (Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire) and questions about innovation and job satisfaction were prepared by researcher. The data of the study has been collected by 8 banks of 10 which are active in Kütahya. To analyse the hypotheses of the study correlation, poly regression and /-Tests has been used. According to the results of this study we can say that transactional leadership is more effective than transformational leadership on job satisfaction at the banks in Kütahya but we can' t say this on innovation. On the other hand educations of the workers has a great importance to adapt this leadership appoaches in the Banks. In the light of these results leaders must recognise their workers better and must know the leadership sytle which is effective in their banks. Good leader is the one that who knows to make subordinates work harder and the one that implement this.
