Abstract (EN)

Variations in temperature and precipitation values are common all over the world because of climate change. Turkey has also been affected by these variations as much as the world has been affected. Due to the limited water resources in some regions and the increasing water demand, necessary analyzes are needed while considering various conditions. In this study, the regions, which represent similar climatic features, in the Kızılırmak Basin are considered. The trend analysis is performed in this research using the precipitation and temperature data obtained from the General Directorate of Meteorology for the stations (Aksaray, Kulu, Keskin, Yozgat, Kayseri, Nevşehir, Çiçekdağı) covering the period of 1960-2020. While performing the trend analysis, the results of the Mann-Kendall Test and Şen's Trend Test were discussed. The study results showed that there is an increasing trend for temperature with respect to each method. For precipitation, the maximum monthly precipitation total showed an increasing trend at Keskin station while similar results are obtained by both methods. On the other hand, not a significant trend is obtained in the Menn Kendall test for precipitation parameter in other stations while the trend is not observed in Şen's Trend Test because of the inconsistency in scattered plots.
