Abstract (EN)

In this study, food consumption of families in the province of Adana in three stock structure of food consumption habits and preferences of the group aimed to investigate the cause. Study prepared foods consumed by families, how often and when they consume, what types of foods they consume, and consumption decisions of where people who have been found effective in. With these three, taken from the market is ready for consumption in food, prepared foods consumed outside the order and consists of prepared foods consumed outside the home. In the center of the city of Adana for this purpose in different income groups, the questionnaire was administered to 259 families. As a result I. Income from the stock market and 11% of food import II. Income from the stock market in 19% of food intake, III. Income from the stock market is 16% of food intake. Ready to order food from the outside according to the ratio of the income group I. 16% income group, II. 29% income group, III. Income group is 24%. Consumption of food prepared outside the home according to the ratio of the income group I. 18% income group, II. 35% income group, III. Income group were found to be 27%. Socio-economic factors that affect consumption of the family income, maternal status, mother's education level in the form. Why buy the majority of the time savings, ease of preparation, variety, and also for consumption outside the home was determined to socialize.
