Abstract (EN)
In this study, the presence and distribution of sugar beet cyst nematode Heterodera schachtii Schmidt in beet cultivation areas of Turhal Sugar Factory (Turhal, Tokat) was investigated. Symptom-bearing sugar beet samples and soil samples were collected from 32 different fields by visiting 8 regions and 14 villages affiliated to Turhal Sugar Factory. it is ensured that the sample collecting field represented the region in the best possible way. Moreover, the soil structure of the region, the irrigation techniques and the distance of the fields to each other were taken into account. The amount of cysts of H. schachtii in each sample was determined. Then, the anal sections of the cysts and the 2nd stage larvae were examined and their diagnosis was made. As a result of the researches, areas contaminated with H. schachtii and clean areas were determined and mapped. 341.7 decares of land in the 10 villages of Tokat Turhal district is determined with H. schachtii contamination. 2023, 41 PAGE
