Abstract (EN)

Human beings always needed to keep their possessions in secure places. In order to serve this purpose, the medium which will affect the distribution of resources and revenues in economy is the banking system. Under the influence of the applications in free-interest, deregulation and globalization the Turkich Banking system, which tried to meet the financial needs of consumers, up until 1980 with limited number of products in accumulating the accounts, has evolved to a great extend. In order to give the dynamism to the sector in increasing the quality of services both in the world and in Turkey, the banks where the restoration of economy intensively takes place, have allocated sources to technological investment under the cause and effect relation. The usage of stationary and the physical contact with money have been decreased to the minimum in consequence of the adaptation of the information technologies to the banking sector. It has been introduced new patterns to the consumer attitudes and business-life with the purpose of developing and making individual banking services or products widespread. Because, this sector needs to find solutions and adapt to the everchanging business environment in view of the process and its products. These solutions are the restoration of the bank branches, self-service machines, POS terminals, home-office banking systems and Internet banking. The banking sector which is considered at a national level has been taken part in the process of integration to the international banking and more effectively in the international financial market due to the necessity of globalization.
