Tevfik intellectuals in Turkish literature criticism

Purchasing aesthetics or theory is one of the criticisms of the reader. This theory advocates the evaluation of works according to reader liking by centering the reader. It gives the reader an active role in completing the work. Since it appeared at the University of Konstanz in Germany, it is also called the Constanz School. According to Hans-Robert Jauss, one of the pioneers of this school, literary hisdies should be written on the basis of the appreciation of the reader. Jauss argues that the reader interprets the workaccording to the literary understanding of the time he lived, and claims that the duty of the historian of thedebiyat is to take the interpretations of the works that have changed over time into the history ofliteraturebased on this appreciation. Based on this idea put forward by Jauss, we examined Tevfik Fikret in the literary hiscies written in the field of Turkish literature. Literary history, which began in 1888 with Abdulhalim Memduh, continues by different writers to this day. Since each literary history is written in different periods and the author of literary history is a reader, we tried to examine how Tevfik Fikret was purchased by these authors in our study. Literary dates differ from each other in style, method and content. These differences are reflected in the author, poet and work discussed. Based on the ideas put forward by Jauss, we examined the evaluations and findings of literary hiss about Tevfik Fikret and his works. We tried to find out the reason for the similarities and differences.
