Reflections of the Turkish education system on the local and foreign press (2005-2018)

The aim of this study is to analyze the reflection of news and columns about Turkish Education System in national and foreign press. In this regard, considering the circulation of the newspapers, viewpoints on the subjects of The New York Times, Financial Times, The Guardian, The Independent, Daily Mail in foreign press and Cumhuriyet, Milliyet, Hürriyet, Sözcü, Vatan in national press have been analyzed. In this study the news about Turkish Education System in foreign press have been reached by writing key words in Google search engine. A qualitive research technique has been adopted here. Making analysis of documents, resources about Turkish Education System have been reached from the archives of newspapers in foreign press by using Kastamonu University's official web sites and official web sites of the newspapers. Likewise the news about Turkish Eduation System in national press have also been acquired from official web sites of the newspapers. Later on all these sources have been gathered and tabularized. In conlusion of the studies acquired from document analysis, it's seen that the subjets reflecting on Turkish Eduation System in national and foreign press between 2005 and 2018 have chronologically been Foreign Language Problem (Bilingualism), Freedom of Dress and Headscarf, Syrian Refugee Students and Curriculum Changes in 2017.
