Financial problems and solutions concerned with health expenditures in Turkish social security system

Throughout history, countries have given great importance to health services that loom large both socially and economically. Healthy individuals contribute to the development and growth of the countries. Especially in countries whose educational level is high importance of health services have increased more. Today, health services are conducted both by private and public sectors. Finance of health services covering a broad range has also become an important subject. Health services have been generally financed with tax and social security premiums. In the present study, health expenditures, financial resources and problems of the social security institutions providing health service in our country are discussed and some solutions are presented.
