Abstract (EN)

CULTURAL TRANSFER IN TURKISH TEACHING AND TO DEVELOP CULTURAL IDENTY ABSTRACT Language is the most natural, common and effective way of communication among people. At the same time, language is the most powerful link which makes mass people into nation. Language obtains this power from the culture that is the component, carrier and the protector of it. That is to say, language provides shelter to the culture from every point of view which nation it belongs to. Language has important role to make mass people into nation. This role of the language continues in the same way to carry on national existence of the mass people that becomes nation. Every individual has to learn the culture which belongs to nation in order to live an individual of the nation and gain cthe culturel identification which the culture resources to. The carriers of culturel identity are organized education institutions. In schools Turkish is the most important lesson which contributes the development of culturel identity. Individuals who learn their native language also learn their own culture. In this way, their cultural identities to which their cultures resource start to develope. Teaching language means teaching the culture of nation which speaks. Language which helps nation to gain qualification of nain helps people to become a part of national existence. Naturally, the aim of the education is to provide individuals live as an individual of the nation. This study searches how to contribute the culturel identity development of students by means of teaching Turkish in organized education schools. Turkish teaching activities are arranged in the direction of basic law of National Education and the programme of Turkish curriculum. In this study, by using the method of scanning literature. Basic law of National Education. The Regulations of Primary School, Turkish lesson curriculum which came into force in 1981 and Turkish lesson curriculum which was started practising in 6?th to classes from 2006?2007 were investigated, the parts which support the culture transfer and which require culture transfer in Turkish education. Although there are many reasons which makes necessary cultural transfer in Turkish teaching, enough research has not been done on this subject. There are many deficiency in practising. In order to servet he entire aim of Turkish teaching, systematic studies should be done concerning cultural transfer in Turkish teaching and these studies should be seen in practising.
