Establishment of Turkey's geographic information system based investment incentive policy

Investment incentives, which have been widely applied for many years, form the backbone of the incentive system in Turkey. Therefore, it is necessary to manage investment incentives well and distribute them in a way that will provide financial gains. The aim of this study is to re-determine the incentive map of Turkey according to the CAR method. In line with the purpose of the study, incentive maps created by evaluating Turkey's current incentive policies and the investment status of the provinces receiving incentives were analyzed. For the analysis of the study, the data of the provinces in Turkey for the years 2018 and 2019 were used. Since some of the 2020 data of the provinces could not be reached due to the pandemic, the data of 2019 was used as the base year for comparisons. As a result of the study, the energy production capacity, idle area and export incentive maps of the provinces were compared with the current incentive map and suggestions were presented.
