Abstract (EN)

Afghanistan, which is in the historical expansion universe of Uzbek Turkish, is an area where linguistic and non-linguistic effects are complex. Afghanistan is evaluated in the expansion universe not only for Uzbek Turkish but also for Kazakh Turkish, Kyrgyz Turkish, and Turkmen Turkish dialects. The historical Karluk-Kipchak-Oghuz association is also valid for today's Afghanistan Uzbek Turkish. Dari, the language of education in the region, is also a non-linguistic factor. Uzbek Turks, who were forced to migrate from Afghanistan due to the Russian occupation of Afghanistan in 1979, were brought to Turkey in 1982 and settled in Gaziantep, Hatay and Şanlıurfa. The universe of the study was limited to the dialect groups that emerged in these settlements. In this study, the aim was to determine the phonetic features of the Afghan Uzbek Turks dialect in Turkey and simultaneously possible dialect groups with a descriptive method. The study is composed of "Review", "Texts" and "Grammatical Index" sections. The compilations made in the aforementioned settlements in 2017 and 2018 were transcribed using the IPA (The International Phonetic Alphabet) transcription system. The texts were coded by constructing three basic variables: "the place of settlement", "tribe", "and the place of origin in Afghanistan". Thus the codes OBA, OBK, OCM, OHF, OKÇ, OKD, OKK, OKÖ, OKY, ÖBK, ÖBL, ÖKK, ÖKF, ÖKY, ÖÖÖ, and GKK representing possible sub-dialect groups were created. In the analysis section, some original phonetic determinations were determined such as "vowels are shortened by changing the syllable boundaries in the articulation", "open postdorsal a and open predorsal a vowels exist apart from the well-known open e", "diphthongs are created from the vowel split", "the existence of long articulated consonants indicates a phonetic event", "regressive affinities exist between words in a systematic state", "anterior palatal vowels and consonants become middle palatal", "derivation of bilabial consonants occur before round vowels at word beginnings", "occlusive, glottal, unvoiced consonant occur after monosyllabic words in order to close the syllable" and "consonant derivation occurs in sandhi". The dialect groups have been living together in settlements continuously since 1982. It was seen that this association led to a decrease in the distinctive phonetic characteristics of the groups and an increase in similarities and alternations. It was expected that the data presented in the part of grammaritical index, would provide material for dialect dictionaries and dialect atlasses prepared by the researcers and would give opportunities for observing the grammaritical features of inspected dialect.
