Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the structure of the biotechnology sector in Turkey and determine the innovation capacity has been studied. First of all, the biotechnology by definition and how it has been improving in Turkey and in the World was briefly analysed. Secondly, all the stakeholders of the ecosystem such as; public and private R&D Research Centres, private companies R&D Centres, Universities, and Thematic Research Centres in Turkey are brought together within an interactive map. Thirdly, the R&D and innovation performance of companies in the area of biotechnology was analyzed under different parameters in order to define their strengths and weakness and to provide recommendation to enhance their capacities.
