JCI accreditation with the performance of private hospital services in Turkey

In this study, the quality of service and perceived quality of service of patients and their relatives who applied in 14 private hospitals in Istanbul with a JCI certificate were determined using the Servqual scale. It was understood that the total quality of service of the 14 private hospitals of the patients and their relatives was not reached. Although there are no significant differences between the total quality of service scores obtained from the Servqual scale and the marital status of the participants, the reason for their hospitalization, the type of service taken from the hospital and bed capacity of the hospital; There was a significant difference between the age of the hospital, the number of physicians, the level of education of the participants, age and gender. As a result, it was found that as the educational level of participants decreased and their age increased, the quality of service perceived decreased, the increase in the number of doctors in the hospital and physical rehabilitation clinics increased satisfaction. compared to other clinics. In addition, it was found that there was a significant difference between the total service score and gender, and it was determined that men were more satisfied with women's reliability and safety subscales. As a result, it was understood that private hospitals were rapidly completing the process of institutionalization; education of patients and their relatives, communication and interaction according to their age and sex, the importance of empathy, assurance, willingness and enthusiasm for diagnosis and the treatment would improve the quality of the service.
