Abstract (EN)

Violence, cruelty and human rights violations caused by national and international conflicts and crises, especially in the twentieth century, caused many millions of people to leave their homes and countries. As a result of the work carried out by the United Nations, the 1951 Convention on the Legal Status of Refugees (MHSIS) and the protocol Legal Status of Refugees of 1967 were adopted as the basic documents of refugee law. Turkey is a transit country for Refugees and asylum seekers in the region and has an important geographical feature that has become the target country in recent years. This situation has closely affected Turkey's refugee policies. The continuation of war and internal turmoil in the neighboring and neighboring countries of Turkey, such as Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, has led to an increasing number of refugees and asylum seekers coming to Turkey. Turkey has shaped the migration management by trying to develop harmonisation policies and to create a humanitarian perspective on the basis of compassion, legal factors and the process of European Union harmonisation. Turkey has accepted around four million asylum seekers in the scope of its peaceful and humane policies towards people who are affected by the conflicts occured in neigbouring regions and countries and had to leave where they live. The purpose of this study to demonstrate the interaction of these asylum seekers towards Turkey's socio-economic sturcture. Furthermore, the study aims to contribute to the production of Turkey's migration-related adaptation policies and to shed light on the expectations of asylum seekers from Turkey. In this context, the data obtained from field work carried out across 26 provinces and on 2637 asylum-seekers (refugee, conditional refugee, secondary protection, temporary protection) are evaluated. The data obtained in the field study were collected with the structured interview technique and the questionnaires prepared in six groups. When the results of the survey data are evaluated in general, it is understood that Turkey, which has been the most migrant-recieving country since 2016, should carry out new initiatives on social cohesion in migration management, and that the refugees and asylum-seekers are experiencing traditional migrant issues also in Turkey, and to behave more effective and quite cautious on solving economical and social discordencies which can occur between migrants and residents.
